Rides through Con Dao

Con Dao Historical & Prison Tour

This tour explores the rich history of Con Dao and will delve into its darker side. A series of prison systems were constructed throughout the 113 years of colonisation during which many thousands of prisoners where interred here. Conditions in the prisons have become the substance of legend with hardships and brutal regimes placing untold adversity on the local interred population.

Just Snorkelling

We know the perfect spots around Con Dao archipelago where you will see some of the documented 1,725 aquatic species of Marine life and the best coral formations in the country, with 360 species of coral reefs. Con Dao is the only National Park in Vietnam that actively protects Sea Turtles and Du Gongs and subject to seasonal access, we will stop at the beach where sea turtles come to lay their eggs.
Your trip will culminate in a relaxing beach stop (if the snorkelling site is near the beach)

Exploring Dam Tre Bay

Follow the coast line of Con Dao heading east towards Dam Tre Bay. Paddle your way along the coast and across Vong bay with your guide; identify sea birds, pass friendly fisherman. Well stop for a short while and you can snorkel and swim to cool off before heading back to Vong beach for a leisurely ride back to town.

Trekking to the Lighthouse

Are you ready for an experience that will take you to the past as well as put your level of fitness to the test? A 30 minute ride by speedboat will lead to the beautiful island of Bay Canh where the adventure begins; a two to two and a half hour trek through the dense forest leads you to one of Con Dao’s most important landmarks. Construction of the Bay Canh Lighthouse was between 1883 and 1885 is located one of the highest points in on Bay Canh island at 226 meters above sea level.
